A welcome return to one of Music in Ulpha's favourites and this time with Ruth Angell.

Becky Mills Ruth Angell: two of the UKs finest talents combine in this multi-instrumental folk harmony duo.

On the road since 2016, the duo combine modern traditional styles in a show notable for its sweet harmonies, emotive playing, touching lyrics and the odd boisterous folk workout! Becky plays acoustic guitar, and Ruth plays violin and acoustic guitar. Both are pedigree singer-songwriters in their own right. The pair are close collaborators with Fairport Convention founder Ashley Hutchings, having recorded and released the album From Psychedelia to Sonnets with Hutchings in 2016 . Ruth Angell is also a founder member of Surge Orchestra, and formerly played with Rufus Wainwright, Rainbow Chasers and the Morris On band

Becky Mills was a member of successful all-girl folk ensemble Waking the Witch before launching her solo career with the acclaimed Dandelion. She recently released her new album Tall Tales and Home Truths, prompting folk magazine FATEA to describe her as a storyteller of immense talent and imagination.
