& REX PRESTON
Miranda's rich, spine tingling vocals and strident yet sensitive double bass playing are much in demand and she enjoys working alongside some of the finest musicians in the world. Rex took part in The Walnut Valley Mandolin Championships where he came third. He is also much in demand, playing alongside artists such as Show of Hands with Miranda.
LOCAL MUSICIANS NIGHT
28th September 2013
Group and solo performances from musicians and singers of all ages from the valley and surrounding areas, with a variety of different songs and poems as well as a music quiz and raffle. The proceeds of this evening will help towards the many on-going expenses of the Browfoot Room and keep the hall in the lovely condition that we all benefit from. If you feel that you would like to contribute something to this event then please contact us.
The Raffle held at the PATSY and BECKY evening raised £80 to go towards the BROUGHTON BEAVER GROUP. A Huge thankyou to all who contributed.
We would like to rotate the raffle at each music evening to allow the proceeds to go towards a range of causes.
Have you got a charity/society that you would like to raise funds for? If so, please contact us, tell us about it, and we may be able to let you run the raffle.
A minibus leaves Broughton Square, near the Cafe, at 7.15pm and returns at the end of the evening around 10.40pm departure time. The return fare is in the form of a donation and it is suggested that this is in the region of £3.
